The latest industry initiatives being championed by the Stone Federation were also covered. These included The Ethical Stone Register, guidance for the use of natural stone in swimming pools and Health & Safety in stone working.  Industry day will once again form day 2 of the conference with the 2019 programme to be released in the months prior to the show.

 

The 2017 Industry day took place in the South Gallery rooms above the Natural Stone Show and was organised in conjunction with Stone Federation Great Britain.

Day 2 of the conference explored the practical and aesthetic considerations when choosing stone. Architects and the stone providers themselves put this into context by profiling a range of award-winning natural stone projects.
