The Planning White Paper of 2020 set out the Government’s intention to improve the design quality of the developments the planning system was approving. 18 months later many of the objectives of the White paper have yet to see reality, apart from the push to improve design standards which is now included in the updated National Planning Policy Framework. 

Where does the supply of natural stone fit into the renewed focus on improving design, where are the opportunities for the industry through the planning process.
