131 Sloane Street, London – Mike Stiff, Stiff + Trevillion
The result of a design completion held by the Cadogan estate, this London development involved the replacement of two 1960s office buildings with a new retail and office-led development. The new building primarily uses red Locharbriggs sandstone supplied by Marshalls Stancliffe Stone. This project was Highly Commended in the 2016 Natural Stone Awards New Build Modern Style Stone Cladding category.
Silberrad Student Centre, Colchester – Roger Meyer, Patel Taylor
Part of the University of Essex, this project brief called for a single building to extend the existing Albert Sloman library and provide a range of new facilities. This project was Commended in the 2016 Natural Stone Awards New Build Modern Style Stone Cladding category.
